HONING THE CRAFT...
King Nerd, also known as Johnny Dowell, is a British designer and artist, who is renowned for his intricate engraving work, which is in such high demand, his style has been adopted for exclusive pieces by the likes of Harley-Davidson, Jaeger LeCoultre and fellow G-SHOCK collaborators, Bamford London.
After a chance encounter with an employee of James Purdey & Son’s, the prestigious 200-year-old gun manufacturer, Johnny rejected his earlier ideas of studying Fashion at Central Saint Martins and went on to complete a five-year apprenticeship as an engraver with the company, where he would remain for 15 years in total. After 15 years under the Richemont group, spending every day in the luxury world, Johnny would eventually leave and apply his love for art, design and engraving to various luxury and bespoke products and projects.

Each watch comes on a custom printed strap and is accompanied by a sticker, a limited hand-signed and numbered print, and bespoke packaging, each featuring the unique artwork of British designer and artist ‘King Nerd’.
The GM-6900GKING-9ER comprises of a gold IP stainless steel bezel and black resin band bearing King Nerd’s iconic style. Staying true to all that a G-SHOCK promises, this watch is 200m water resistant, shock resistant and robust. It also features an electro-luminescent backlight, flash alert, countdown timer, alarm, and calendar.

The new Frogman allows every setting to be personalised and configured via the users mobile phone. The G-SHOCK Connected app provides a hugely detailed insight into dive logs, locations and more. Select tide locations and review information from one of over 3,000 locations around the globe. Coupled with these features is also a countdown timer, alarms, automatic time updates as your travel as well as a built in phone finder.
Kicking off 2021 with a reimagined SESSIONS series, G-SHOCK has teamed up with CODE + CULTURE to host intimate and unfiltered online discussions, celebrating the journeys of those who have defied the odds to become outstanding in their field.
