Introducing the Paul Woolford, Smokin Jo and James Zabiela
This summer, G-Shock is excited to announce the launch of three stunning collaborations with three prominent, high octane, DJs from Ibiza’s Space super club.
Resident Super DJ Paul Woolford introduces the local collaborative G-Shock Paul Woolford watch. Fusing style, extreme durability and toughness the G-Shock Paul Woolford is stylish enough to set you apart from the hordes of clubbers, and tough enough to withstand even the longest partying session.
Paul Woolford is renowned as one of the finest Techno DJs and producers around. Hailing from Leeds, Woolford owns the record label Intimacy and tours constantly all over the world. His sharp design, with its repetition of the iconic yellow smiley face, is a nostalgic nod to the nineties rave and acid house scenes. According to Paul it is a ‘simple design’, which reflects what he is about: ‘Ibiza, the summer and the clubs.’
As one of the most renowned and respected female DJs and producers in the world, Smokin Jo was an obvious choice to design a watch for G-Shock. Her passion for tech house is apparent in her chosen graphic which is a replicated wave form from one of her own tracks. Available in pink, the watch boasts the track’s title on the strap, so it is, in Smokin Jo’s words, akin to having an ‘actual track wrapped around your wrist.’
Renowned for his technical wizardry, tech-house DJ and producer James Zabiela’s personal design is inspired by the warehouse, acid rave and house scenes. It is an abstract collection of his drawings that reflect the electiveness of his DJing scope. James commented that he is ‘really excited to have designed a watch for G-Shock, as it’s not everyday you get asked to do something cool like that.’ He then added ‘I'm constantly travelling all over the world, so with the time zone settings, I never have to change a thing, which is massively useful.’
The bespoke watches have been designed to celebrate the ‘G-Shock/Burlington Project’s Summer in Ibiza’ competition. Open to registered Burlington Project users, the competition has set out to find a new Super Star DJ to play at the Burlington Project’s closing party at ‘We love Sundays’ in Space, Ibiza.
Whether you’re a jet setting DJ or a hardcore raver, these limited edition G-Shocks are the only watches that can keep up with you this summer.
The G-Shock Paul Woolford, Smokin Jo and James Zabiela watches are extremely limited and available at the Casio store on Carnaby Street. SRP: £250
